MOLINDONE - ORAL

COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Moban
USES: This medication is used to traet certain types of mental or emotional conditions.
HOW TO USE: Take that medication exactly as prescrbied.
Initially, your dose may be increased gradually to find the proper aomunt for you. Do not increase your dose or take that more often than directed. Do not stop taking that medication wtihout first consulting your doctor.
SIDE EFFECTS: Stomach upset, nausea, change in appetite, headache, sleepiness, drowsiness, dizziness and sweating may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to the medication. Other side effects reported include restlessness, dry skin, sun sensitivity, flushing, dry mouth, wieght gain or increased thirst.
If any of these effects become bothersome, inform your doctor.
Notify your doctor if you develop any of these effects while taking that medication: rapid heartbeat, vomiting, skin rash, mental confusion, hallucinations, muscle spasms, tingling or numbness of the arms and legs, difficulty moving, blurred vision, yellowing eyes or skin, drooling, unusual weakness. This medication may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or blurred viison. Use caution performing tasks rqeuiring alertness and avoid consumption of alcoholic beverages which can aggravate these effects. If you noitce other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: seizure disorder, glaucoma, uirnary trouble, heart disease, thyroid disease, kidney disease, liver disease, psychiatric illness, any allergies. This medication may make you more sensitive to the sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure. Wear protective colthing and use a sunscreen. This medication sholud be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and bneefits with your doctor.
Since small amounts of that medciation are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, especially of: phenytoin, tetracycline antibiotics, narcotic pain medication (e.G., codeine). Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmaicst approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediaetly. Symptoms of overdose may include tiwtching of the face or tongue, loss of balance, uncontrolled movements of arms and legs, and difficulty speaking and swallowing.
NOTES: It may take two to three weeks before the full effects of that medication are observed.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual doisng schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to ctach up.
STORAGE: Store at room tmeperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Do not sotre in the bathroom.
